My dearly beloved sisters in Christ,

I want to welcome you to the new year of ‘The King’, the year 2010, the year the Lord shall make you fruitful (Gen. 26:22), in Jesus name!

Did you know that the number 10 signifies completion? This year, as we embark on this new Ministry, The Pastors’ wives forum(PWF), it is my prayer that God will complete everything about you (Psa. 138:8)  and that you will find joy in your calling as a pastor’s wife, and your hope on your husband and children shall not be cut short (Pro. 23:18) in Jesus name.

Do you really know who you are? You are a rare gem and the apple of God’s eye (Zech.2:8). You are all called according to His purpose (2 Tim. 1:9) and you shall fulfill it in Jesus name. You have been chosen by God for “such a time as this” to reflect His glory as you serve God, your Husband, your family, and God’s people in your Church and community. You matter and can make a difference in God’s kingdom!

Our goal in the Pastors’ Wives Forum is to encourage you as you work alongside your husband in ministry (“see about us” for the objectives).  Now, there is absolutely no reason why you have to feel isolated anymore! Through this forum, we want to support you and let you know that you are unique, but not alone in this journey.

In our upcoming regional Breakfast forums we will focus on fellowship, encouragement and networking amongst ourselves.  We will also concentrate on knowing who we are in Christ, so as not to fall prey to the devices of the devil (1 Pet. 5:8). We will be able to stand and stand firm in our calling, and bring glory to our almighty Father in Heaven. We hope to break down all the stereotypes and myths about Pastors’ wives and understand that like everyone else we are all women with needs. The Forum will also be a safe haven for us to share each other’s burdens in confidence (2 Cor. 7:16).

Through the PWF website, we plan to keep you updated with important events, resources and networking venues amongst ourselves, to name a few. We welcome all of your ideas and suggestions for improvement.

As we embark on this new journey together let us remember to always stand in support and encouragement of one another, “So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil…” (Isa. 41:7). It is as a body that we can make a difference. I love all of you!  Let us enjoy this journey together!
