Psalms 126:1,” When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.”; “And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of the…”, Genesis 42:9. I welcome you to the month of April (my birth month), I say, the best has not yet been told about your story. There is a new beginning for you in and through Christ this year. Your destiny is not in the hands of man or the enemy – it is our year of Glory ahead. God will take you from obscurity to prominence, from Marah to Naomi, from no-where to somewhere great because of His mercies. All your good dreams shall come to pass in Jesus’ name. The fourth man that turned the captivity of the three Hebrew boys around will show up for you in Jesus name! Introduction: Some contemporary scholars have described dreams as mere myths; figments of people’s imaginations and sometimes illusions. To them dreams are fantasies, pictorial metaphors which were semi-consciously put together by human senses. However, the truth is that in these last days, God is revealing more of Himself through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. God speaks through His word; prophesy, preaching, through your wife, husband, children and yes, through dreams. Numbers 12:6,” …if there be prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream” BUT NOT ALL DREAMS COME FROM GOD!!! Psalms 126:1-5 is both a testimonial and prophetic. It is about the deliverance of God’s people from Babylon back to Zion. This month you will leave Babylon and enter God desired Zion in Jesus name! “WHEN the Lord turned the captivity of Zion… (v.1a),” There is a divine timing for your turn-around. There is a time appointed for your release. It is now! Total emancipation from captivity is not subject to probability. It is certain. It is a matter of time and the time is now. We can’t really explain why the people of Zion went into captivity. It may be based on their sin or disobedience? But then, one thing is clear, their movement into captivity was not for their destruction but to teach them a lesson. It was not for the purpose of consuming them as dross is consumed in a fire but for their transformation just as gold passes through fire so that it could shine better. God’s plan for you is that you be like Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). It also says, “When the Lord”; it does not say “If the Lord”. This means that there is a time for everything. There is an appointed time for your deliverance. It also tells of who worked out their deliverance. The Lord is the only person who can turn any situation around. It is only He who has the power to set any captive free. No matter how much you look up to man, if the Lord does not help you, no one else can. It was after the Lord stepped into their situation that there was a turnaround. It also explains to us that there is no help from any man that can last long like that help that comes from God. In the same vein, no victory is ever achieved by the strength of human arms or the whims of the human mind (Ecclesiast 9:11).
SHALL WE PRAY?
- Begin to thank God for today. Thank Him because the days, weeks, months and years ahead of you are blessed. He is mighty and strong to save, redeem and deliver you.
- Begin to plead the Blood of Jesus -for mercy, atonement and redemption.
- Every curse that is making a man to have evil dreams come to pass and good dreams fail, break now upon my life by fire in Jesus’ name.
- Every power that is manipulating my dream life, be devoured now by fire in Jesus’ name
- Every pollution, confusion, congestion and perversion of my mind, clear now by fire in Jesus’ name.
- Anointing of the super achievers, fall on me now by fire in Jesus’ name
- Oh God, set the ladder of greatness and distinction for me as from today in Jesus’ name.
- Every power that is making the status quo my normal order of life, be devoured now by fire in Jesus’ name.
- Every yoke of domination, oppression and affliction upon my life and destiny, break now by fire in Jesus’ name.
- Power to be a voice not echo, a solution not problem, an answer, not question, an asset, not liability, fall on me now in Jesus’ name
- Every dream killer that is monitoring my life and destiny, die now by fire in Jesus name.
- I decree that as from today, I refuse the evil and choose the good throughout my journey on earth in Jesus name.

Imagine how long Sarah had been held in the captivity of barrenness but when God stepped in, she became the mother of a child. She whom the world had written off that nothing good could ever come out of her now became one that people gathered to celebrate. How about Hannah and Elizabeth? These were held captivity to the spirit of barrenness as well, but just when God remembered them and came to their aid, their story changed. It was as though they were dreaming because no one expected that something good could still come out of their lives.
Joseph had been in prison for not less than thirteen years until God stepped in. Imagine in a strange land, with his Jewish ascent and no Green card, where he had no family or relatives, he was crowned as the second-in-command to Pharaoh. The dream he had for a long time ended up coming to pass. This is to tell you that it is never too late for God to do whatever He has decided to do for you. For years the Israelites were in captivity in the land of Egypt, but when God stepped in, they got their deliverance
Joseph was constantly dreaming. He was a dreamer per excellence. It was not a dream of defeat, downfall, disgrace or death. It was a dream of greatness, lifting, distinction, dominion and glory. The dreams became a vicious cycle and he couldn’t keep it to himself alone. One day, he found himself on the throne where he had dreamt about. His brethren came to him and bowed down to him exactly the way he had dreamt it. Sir/Ma – May all your good dreams come through in Jesus’ name.“WE WERE LIKE THEM THAT DREAM DREAMS…(v.1b)” This is a testimony from the Psalmist and other captives. The worst was in view and God gave a turn-around. It was more than they imagined. Did the children of Israel ever imagined that the Red Sea would be a path for their deliverance? Did Mary and Martha dream that Lazarus would come alive again before the final resurrection? A divine turn-around brings an overwhelming joy beyond description. When it comes, it certainly is like a dream. It is wonderful! “And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of the…”, Gen. 42:6-9.
His brethren who couldn’t dream came to bow down to the one who could dream. They have become victims of chances and accidents. They had dreamt about nothing and so cannot remember nothing. Their lives had no compass or direction and so they were moving on the direction of winds of life. They were not in charge or in control of the movement of their destiny.
The myth behind life’s great exploits is dreaming. Dreaming is a compulsory requirement for greatness and distinction in life. Dreaming breaks the restraints of life, it limits life’s limitations. It terminates the embargoes of life. It compels the laws of nature or the rules of life to answer to a man. It brings life to under compulsion to respond to a man’s bidding. Joseph ruled over the then world included his brethren:
- Contrary to all logic, laws and possibilities of life.
- His human, natural, biological limitations became limited.
- He was lifted beyond limits.
- He was exalted above everyone else in the land where he was a stranger.
- He was blessed beyond curses during the season of famine, drought and adversities.
- He became a mystery and a wonder to himself and the sons of men.
- But this didn’t just happen, He had dreamt about it.
- Accident doesn’t take place in the spirit realm; every occurrence is programmed or made to happen.
- Whatsoever you can’t programme into being won’t be.
- Whatsoever you can’t dream of, reality cannot produce it for you.
Joseph’s brethren came to bow down to him.
- Those who dream are programmed to rule over & dominate those who can’t.
- Non-dreamers will forever serve and service those who can dream.
- Those who can dream will feed and nourish those who can’t.
- The destinies of those who can’t dream will forever be determined by those who can dream.
- Dreamers always do the impossible since they always see the invisible.
- They will continue to remain a mystery, wonder, amazement to those who can’t dream.
If you have stopped dreaming, please start dreaming again, because dreams do come to pass.
OUR MOUTH WAS FILLED WITH LAUGHTER…” (v. 2): When God steps into any sour situation, the next thing that would happen is laughter. You won’t be able to hide your joy this month and for the rest of the year. You will laugh and sing throughout this month /year in Jesus’ Name. If you don’t know how to sing just open your mouth and make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Imagine Sarah or Hannah the day their joy came. Imagine Joseph when he was not only brought out of the prison, but the same day brought into palace!! Like people in Zion, Sarah, Hannah, etc. No matter how bitter your experience may be, when God overturns your situation, you will surely rejoice like Hannah sang, “there is none holy as the Lord, there is none beside thee…” (1 Samuel 2:2)
Aside, the heathen could not but conclude that God did it for them (Psa. 67:7) – WHO DID IT? (If don’t know the answer, ask the youths!). There are certain situations that are beyond argument; you cannot explain them. These are miracles with God’s logo on it – when you see, you will know that God alone has done it. Who did it? “Jesus, Oh my God, Whao!!!”
“TURN AGAIN our captivity… (v. 4)”: What happened that necessitates this prayer? Mr. Psalmist, we thought the captivity was over? The answer is the fluidity of human nature and the incessant encroachment of the enemy into human affairs. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8) – the enemy does not rest day or night, he walks about roaring like a lion seeking whom he may devour. He left Jesus in the wilderness only for a season! We are in the battlefield. An old hymnal states: “Christian! Seek not yet repose, hear thy guardian angel say. Thou art in the midst of foes; Watch and pray, etc.”
However, to get God’s help is never automatic; you have your own part to play and afterward, God commits to playing His own part. When the children of Israel needed deliverance, they had to cry to God. Exodus 2:23 (KJV) says, “And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage“. From now on, you will start to experience all round progress in your life, destiny, health, marriage, career, business, and ministry, in Jesus name.
Why pray when God knows I needed freedom? Yes, God is omniscient, but He said, in Matthew 7:7,”Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”…v8 – everyone that that asketh receiveth.” Isaiah 41:21, “Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob” – present your case, bring forth your strong reasons. Hannah did, had a boy child, 1 Samuel 1:10,” And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.” Jabez presented his strong points (1 Chronicles 4:10) then God intervened, and captivity was turned. Isaiah 43:26 says, “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”: It means bring forth your strong reasons for acquittal. There is a charge against you from Satanic jail, you will have divine acquitting in the name of Jesus.
“And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life. 30 And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life “2 Kings 25:29-30 – it’s deliverance time, the battle of insignificance and irrelevance is over. it is time for divine intervention for dreamlike miracles – need to cry to God for help. Success shall come out of a stutterer, a leader out of a Jephthah, a Naomi out of Mara; Prime Minister out of a Prisoner; King out of the wilderness; Queen out of Magdalene; Savior out of Nazarite and a Chief Apostle out of a Chief sinner. Miracles are still happening If you don’t cry to God, He may never show up. You need to call on Him before you can see Him move on your behalf. The grace which qualifies the unqualified shall be rained abundantly upon me, in Jesus’ Name. Today, God is rolling out a bridge towards you… a bridge of prosperity, a bridge of healing, roll out a bridge of deliverance, but you have to stand and walk on that bridge because grace must be activated by faith.
