December 2025 – The Lord is My Song

I welcome you to the 12th Month, the last month of the year of Landmark Miracles for the Onward Christian Soldier....

The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.” (Psalms 118:14, NKJV)

I welcome you to the 12th Month, the last month of the year of Landmark Miracles for the Onward Christian Soldier. The number 12 symbolizes completeness and perfection in God’s Rule, as evidenced by the 12 gates, 12 angels, and 12 foundation stones in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:12-14). Twelve is also a connection to fruitfulness and provision. The Tree of Life in Revelation 22:2 bears twelve kinds of fruit—one for each month—symbolizing unceasing supply and healing for the nations. Twelve baskets of leftover food after Jesus fed the 5,000 in Matthew 14:20 represent God’s abundant and complete provision.

The number 12 is also a representation of God’s People (12 stones were taken from the Jordan River as a memorial in Joshua 4:1–9), exemplifying the entire nation of Israel crossing into God’s promise. Therefore, in this 12th month, I want you to expect completeness, perfection and fruitfulness. Isaiah 49:16 says, God has inscribed you in the palm of His hands. Thus, I can say, without any iota of doubt and with biblical backing, that theGod of Israel shall crown the year with His goodness, and your paths shall drip with abundance, in Jesus’ Name (Psalms 65:11). He will most certainly be your song!

The God of Joy and Rejoicing:

The God we serve is a God of joy who loves singing over His children (Zephaniah 3:17). Imagine a parent shouting and cheering when their child’s name is called at a graduation. That is how God feels when He sees you walking in His purpose. Or like a coach singing the team’s anthem after victory—God sings over your life’s victory in Him!  What God feels about you, as written in Zephaniah 3:17, is explained below:

  1. “The Lord your God in your midst” — God’s Presence: He’s not a distant deity watching from heaven; He dwells among His people. His presence brings peace, protection, and restoration.
  2. “The Mighty One will save” — God’s Power: The word “save” (Hebrew yasha) means to deliver, rescue, or give victory. God doesn’t just sing about us; He sings because He has delivered us.
  3. “He will rejoice over you with gladness” — God’s Delight: This paints a picture of God’s joyful delight—like a parent beaming over a beloved child. It’s the joy of love fulfilled.
  4. “He will quiet you with His love” — God’s Comfort: His love stills our fears. It’s like a mother humming softly to calm her child—He quiets our anxieties through His tender affection.
  5. “He will rejoice over you with singing” — God’s Song of Celebration: This is extraordinary—God Himself breaks into song over His redeemed! It’s a divine serenade of victory, love, and pleasure.

What “God Singing” Symbolizes

  • Joy of Relationship Restored: God sings because sin’s barrier is gone—His people are reconciled to Him.
  • Joy of Ownership: Just as an artist rejoices over his masterpiece or a shepherd over a found sheep, God celebrates those He calls His own.
  • Joy of Victory: After deliverance, there’s always a song. His singing marks triumph over the enemy and the completion of His saving work.

Biblical Examples of God’s Joy Expressed

  • The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:20–24): When the lost son returns, the father runs, embraces, and throws a celebration. The father’s joy reflects the heart of God who “rejoices over one sinner who repents.”
  • David and the Ark (2 Samuel 6:14–15): David danced and celebrated before the Lord because of the restoration of God’s presence. If David could sing and dance over God’s presence, imagine God’s joy when we dwell in His presence!
  • The Heavenly Celebration (Revelation 19:6–9): At the marriage supper of the Lamb, there is singing, rejoicing, and celebration. This is the ultimate expression of Zephaniah 3:17—God rejoicing over His bride, the Church, forever.

What It Means for You

When Zephaniah says, “He will rejoice over you with singing”, it means:

  • God delights in you — not reluctantly but joyfully.
  • God sings over you as His beloved, not His burden.
  • God celebrates your redemption, not your failures.
  • God finds pleasure in your existence, not just your performance.

As the Lord joys over you, He desires to become your song in the good and bad times.

What Happens When The Lord Becomes Your Song:

People love good songs and love to sing new songs. When you make Jesus your Lord, He will not only give you a new song, but He will also become your song. He will not just fill your mouth with laughter; He will become your laughter and the source of your Joy. Classic biblical instances when the Lord becomes your song:

  1. After God brought the children of Isreal out of Egypt and led them through the Red Sea, they began to sing a new song to the Lord (Exodus 15:2).
  2. When God becomes your song, He fills your mouth with joy and laughter. He did it for Sarah and people laughed along with her (Genesis 21:6). I pray that everyone who has mocked you will laugh with you, in Jesus’ Name.
  3. When the devil attacked Job and his family, he thought he had the final say. However, God came through for Job and gave him double of all he had lost (Job 42:12).
  4. When He wanted to destroy the wall of Jericho, He put a loud shout of victory in the mouth of His people (Joshua 6:20).

Beloved, God wants to give you new songs of joy and victory continually. Surrender your life completely to Him, and your days will be full of laughter and singing.

Conditions for the Lord to be Your Song:

When David says, “the Lord is my song,” he’s describing a life where God Himself is the reason for every joy, victory, and testimony. For the Lord to become your “song,” there are certain heart attitudes and responsibilities you must adopt that invite His melody into your life.

1. Cultivate a Heart of Gratitude and Praise

  • When you consistently thank God in every season — both bright and dark — you make Him the theme of your life’s song (Psalm 34:1).
  • Responsibility: Practice daily thanksgiving and verbal praise, even in trials.

2. Live in Conscious Dependence on His Strength

  • God becomes your song when He is first your strength — the One you rely on daily (Psalm 118:14).
  • Responsibility: Stop depending on self, connections, or power. Begin every plan with prayer and humility before God.

3. Walk in Obedience and Surrender

  • Israel acknowledged the LORD as their strength and song after obeying God and walking through the Red Sea (Exodus 15:1-2).
  • Responsibility: Let obedience precede your praise. Songs of victory follow steps of faith.

4. Maintain Fellowship with the Word and the Holy Spirit

  • The Word fuels your worship. When Scriptures saturate your heart, songs naturally rise from within (Colossians 3:16).
  • Responsibility: Study and meditate on God’s Word so you can stay filled with the Spirit daily (Ephesians 5:18-19).

5. Share His Goodness — Make Him Known

  • When you testify about God’s goodness, He becomes not just your song, but others’ song as well (Psalm 40:3).
  • Responsibility: Be bold to share your testimonies and victories, both big and small.

When your life harmonizes with His will, His Word, and His wonder, God Himself becomes your song — not just a melody you sing, but the music your life plays.

Prophetic Declaration for the 12th Month:

  • I prophesy that in this 12th month, Divine Government will take over all the affairs of my life, family, business, and career, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
  • Every power contending with the authority of Jehovah and His Word in my life shall be overthrown this month like Herod was overthrown in Acts 12, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
  • I prophesy that in this last month of the year, my celebration shall be the sweetest, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
  • I decree that whatever has been bitter in my life shall suddenly become better this month, and I shall end this year 2025 better than I started it, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
  • I prophesy that I will end this year with an overflow of favor, grace, help, and God’s blessings, in Jesus’ mighty Name.
  • I decree that I will finish this year majestically and the Lord Himself will be glorified in my life this month, in Jesus’ mighty Name.

Prayers:

  1. LORD, I praise You for Your mercy and steadfast love toward me that never ceases (Lamentations 3:22-23).
  2. Anointing for amazing wonders and undeniable testimonies, fall on me as from today in Jesus’ Name.
  3. I refuse to remain where I was last year. LORD, stir up my spirit man, engage me and activate my potential to the maximum, in Jesus’ Name.
  4. I speak promotion, favor, and protection over myself in place of the afflictions, distress, and pain of the past, in Jesus’ Name.
