February 2017 – The Month Of Commanding The Gates

I welcome you to the month of Commanding the Gates in Jesus’ name. Ps. 24:9 says “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in”.  In spiritual warfare, one of the most important interpretations of “Gates” is that they constitute major barriers or obstacles to breakthroughs.  Even the literal interpretation of “Gate” makes it clear that it is a barrier.

• Gates are frequently referred to in the bible.
• The enemy, to prevent the children of God from entering their destinies and possessions erect gates.
• One of your covenant rights as a seed of Abraham and a born again Christian is expressly stated by God in Gen. 22:17, “thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies”
• Rev. 3:7 – Jesus is the key of David, He opens and no man shuts and He shuts no man opens. You need Jesus to shut down permanently every gate drawing afflictions and constant troubles into your life. Shame is over in Jesus’ name. Gate of favor, divine assistance and sustenance is opened unto you in this New year IJN.
• You can’t enter alone; the King of Glory must enter with you. Friends, enter with clean hands; what the Lord will start with you today, no power will stop you IJN.

1. The children of Israel were ready to possess Canaan, their God-given inheritance, the gates of Jericho, a strategic city to the destiny of Israel was shut – (Jos. 6:1 – “Now Jericho was straightly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in”).  The enemy knows that you have come to demand your breakthroughs this month but there is a gate he is shutting because of you.  Get ready to bulldoze that gate this month in the name of Jesus!
2. The enemy can also use gates to monitor people with the intent to harm them.  In Judges 16:2-3, “And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.  And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of a hill that is before Hebron.” The Gazites heard that Samson was in town, so they went and began to monitor him from the gate.  They sat there all night planning to kill Samson at dawn.  What happened, the Holy Ghost sent them to deep sleep.  Samson woke up in the middle of the night and uprooted the entire foundation of the gate and took it away.  I prophecy over your life that every foundation of Satanic gates in your life will be uprooted this hour in the name of Jesus Christ!  Testimonies will begin to pour into your life after this day in the name of Jesus.
3. Gates are used to lock people into prison of stagnation, limitation, impossibility and death.  Many have been condemned into village of underdevelopment because the gates to the city of their breakthroughs have been shut. That was the case of Peter in Acts 12:10, “When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.” When he was making his way to freedom, the Iron Gate that led to the city was there to stop him, but the Almighty God caused it to open automatically.  Today, every Iron Gate to the city of your breakthrough shall open by itself in the name of Jesus.
4. Lastly as you get ready to fire, note that the glory wind of the Lord cannot blow to your direction until you command the ancient gates of pain to lift up their heads.  Now cry out this confession: “Lift up your heads, O ye gates, even lift them up, ye everlasting doors, let the King of Glory come into (mention your name) life right now!”

Prayer Arrows:

• Almighty God, I enter your gates with thanksgiving, overshadow me with your presence in Jesus mighty name” Psa. 100:4.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful and bless his name.
• Thank you Father, for opening before me “two leaved gates” of breakthrough, which shall never be shut in the mighty name of Jesus. Rev. 21:25, “And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.”
• Thank you Lord for blessing me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.  I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus.  I am a heir of God and joint heir with the Lord Jesus Christ.  I confess based on Gal. 3:29, “I am in Christ, therefore I am Abraham’s seed and heir according to the promise
• Let the gate to the city of my breakthroughs be opened automatically in the name of Jesus.
• Daniel possessed the gate of the King and sat there.  The Iron Gate opened of its own accord to Peter.  Samson uprooted the foundation of satanic gates in his life; So will I in the name of Jesus.
• I command every gate shutting the Gospel from reaching my city, shutting the heart of men from receiving Christ, locking people away from the altar of salvation to lift up their heads now in the name of Jesus.
• O Lord, let every door of breakthrough you have opened to me, remain opened. Door of barrenness that you have shut remain shut from this month in the name of Jesus.  Isa. 45:1-2,“Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut”
