May 2017 – The Month Of Sufficient Grace

”And He said unto me, ‘My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest ...

”And He said unto me, ‘My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

We bless God for the victories, breakthroughs, battles fought and won in the past four months of the year and those of the months to come. This month, God wants us to focus on “Sufficient Grace”; the grace that enables one to operate in one’s God-given capacity to the fullness (Ephesians 4:7; 2 Corinthians 12:9). If Christ tarries, we shall deal with other kinds of grace later i.e. Abundant Grace, Saving Grace, Great Grace, Exceeding Grace, Manifold Grace and Amazing Grace.

Winning in life goes beyond human strength, smartness, tireless input, and wisdom alone. Undoubtedly, these are skills required for progress and greatness. However, on their own, they are grossly insufficient to give you the kind of progress that God has ordained for you. No wonder David said, in Psalms 127:1, “Except the LORD build the house…” Behind the making of any man in God’s kingdom is the “GRACE OF GOD” (1 Corinthians 1:26-29).

So, what looks like a handicap or limitation in your life might be the reason God has called you. He wants to make nonsense of the wisdom of the world. If you do not appreciate the place of grace as you go higher in life, you may end up in DISGRACE. Salvation, sanctification and the hope of Heaven are all the handiwork of Grace. A long time ago, some religious experts were debating on what sets Christianity apart from other philosophies, theories and religions. C.S. Lewis simply said, “It’s Grace!”

La Juana Morris said:
Grace is our source of power when problems are perplexing. Grace is the spring of our tenacity when trials trip us up. Grace is the element of hope when we feel harassed and helpless. Grace is the frontier of our faith during frustration. Grace allows us in times of trouble to look up instead of falling out.

Do you want to exceed your size or operate beyond the realms of human smartness, skill and intelligence? You need grace, the size of God to become unstoppable. The LORD wants us to focus on sufficient grace this month because God’s sufficient Grace is needed:

  1. For Endurance. It will take you through any kind of physical, spiritual and emotional pain, no matter how long that pain exists. This grace will sustain until when HE determines the pain should go. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
  2. To empower us to flourish and succeed. Until Grace came, the mountain that withstood Zerubbabel did not become plain. (Zechariah 4:6-7)
  3. To serve the LORD. Moses was a stammerer and wanted to use that as an excuse not to work for God, but God gave him the grace needed to work for Him. (Exodus 4:10-11)
  4. When you’re facing storms and doubts. Peter’s faith shook when he saw the storm (Mark 14:30-31). The needed grace to overcome every storm of life, receive in Jesus’ Name.
  5. Because hopelessness and depression can cripple even the strongest Christian (1 Kings 19:3-8). Elijah complained to God that he may die because of Jezebel’s threat. The LORD came to his aid and he was restored to his state of anointing.

God does not lift the already lifted. He is looking for the helpless and the lowly who are heavily dependent on Him.  The question is, “Do you need Him?” Without God, you can do nothing; you must acknowledge your helplessness before you can link up to divine sufficient Grace and power. Do you know that Grace brings favor without labor? Or that Grace makes promotion possible without any qualification attached to it? When Grace speaks:

  • Protocols are suspended, as in the case of Esther.
  • Laws of the land are broken, as in the case of King David.
  • Educational qualifications are unnecessary as was true for Peter.
  • Connections are needless, as Grace connected Joseph to a higher place and he was moved from prison to become Prime Minister in a foreign land!

Today, I decree that the Grace of God will speak on your behalf in your family and in every area of your life. It will see you flourishing from race to grace today and forever in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

So, soldiers of the cross, do not despair, His grace is sufficient for all the battles you’re facing. “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, Who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself PERFECT, CONFIRM, STRENGTHEN and ESTABLISH you” 1 Peter 5:10 – (NASB)

Prayers:

  • Father, I thank You for Your abundant grace, sufficient grace, saving grace, great grace, exceeding grace, manifold grace and amazing grace, in Jesus’ Name.
  • God of grace, bestow on me grace commensurate to the assignment You have given me, in Jesus’ Name!
  • Father, let Your grace which qualifies the unqualified, rain abundantly upon me, in Jesus’ Name. Please Lord give me the grace to live a life that is in alignment with Your will, in Jesus’ Name
  • Heavenly Father, I decree in the Name of Jesus Christ that all forces and power that may be frustrating the grace of God in my life, family, ministry, and Your purpose for my life be frustrated, in Jesus’ Name.
  • God of all Grace, establish Your total counsel and perfect every imperfection in my life, in Jesus’ Name.
  • Father, let Your grace and favor catapult me to a place of glory and move me to my next level of greatness, in Jesus’ Name.
  • Father of all grace, let Your grace preserve me for Your coming, in Jesus’ Name.
